Marine Engineering

Marine engineering is something some people haven’t heard of or, if they have, they have no idea exactly what it entails. Marine engineering is actually a very broad field that can cover a very wide array of jobs, including designing, building, installing, and even operating systems and equipment on various marine vessels and vehicles. Generally, these systems and equipment are related to the vessel’s engines and navigation systems, but they can also be part of the structural systems that support the crew and the cargo of the vessel. Most often, marine engineers are in the military, specifically the navy.
